  • What are the hotel policies?

    Reservation, Payment, and Cancellation:


    1. A valid debit or credit card are the only accepted payment methods and are required to secure a reservation.

    2. A $150 incidental deposit will be authorized on the card and released after check-out, provided the room is in the same condition aside from general housekeeping.

    3. The full reservation amount will be charged 24 hours before arrival. If the payment is declined, The Hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

    4. Cancellation policy: 

        a. More than 48 hours before arrival: 100% refund. 

        b. 24-48 hours before arrival: Only first night charged.

        c. Within 24 hours or no-shows: No refunds.


    Guest Requirements:


    1. Guests must be at least 21 years old to book a reservation. 

    2. Guests must provide a valid photo ID upon check-in.

    3. Reservations must include an adult occupant’s full name, contact information, and a valid debit/credit card.

    4. Maximum Occupancy by Room Type:

        a. Single-bed rooms – 2 guests 

         b. Multi-bed rooms – 4 guests

        c. Children 6 and older count towards room maximum capacity

        d. Additional guests require management approval, or a $250 fine may be incurred.

    5. Parking is limited to 1 standard-size vehicle per reservation; oversized vehicles need written approval from Hotel’s management to park on the premises.


    Check-in, Check-Out, and Stay Extensions:


    1. Business hours: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily.

    2. Check-in: 3:00 p.m.; Check-out: 11:00 a.m.

    3. Full payment and incidental deposit required in-person at check-in.

    4. Extended stays at the Hotel are intended as temporary guest accommodations and do not constitute a tenant-landlord relationship.


    Smoking:


    1. All rooms and indoor areas are 100% non-smoking. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vape pens, or anything else that produces vapor / smoke.

        a. $300 smoking fee 1st time & $400 anytime after. 

        b. Designated smoking area at south end of the building.


    Room care:


    1. Guests staying longer than 7 days will have their rooms cleaned weekly and inspections will be completed for maintenance, safety and violation purposes.  Any room deemed to have excessive unsanitary conditions will be given a warning to clean the room within 24 hours.  If the room is not sanitary upon a re-check a $50 cleaning fee will be charged and the Hotel staff will clean the room. A second violation of unsanitary conditions are grounds for immediate cancellation of the reservation without a refund.

    2. Damages to the room or its contents are the reserving guest’s financial responsibility.

    3. Theft of any hotel property will result in legal action.

    4. No direct heat or open-flame cooking is permitted in guest rooms. Violations will result in immediate cancellation of the reservation without a refund.

    5. SUSPECTED USE OF DRUGS OF ANY KIND WILL RESULT IN A ROOM INSPECTION AND LAW ENFORCEMENT ENTRY AND 


    Hallways and Common Areas:


    1. All indoor/outdoor common areas follow quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am daily.

    2. Guests use all common areas expressly at their own risk.

    3. We do not tolerate disruptive behavior. We will kindly request responsible parties to cease disruptive activity and will lean on local law enforcement if escalation is required.

    4. Guests who are not fully dressed (shirt, shoes, etc.) will be asked to leave common areas.

    5. Security cameras continuously record indoor and outdoor public areas and are shared with relevant local authorities as needed.


    Release of Liability:


    1. The Hotel is not responsible for lost or forgotten items.

    2. The Hotel is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur during your stay. It is your responsibility to take necessary precautions and ensure your own safety.

    3. The Hotel is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings or vehicles parked on hotel property.

    4. Guest understands that attending The Hotel’s facilities may involve voluntary participation in physical activities both indoors and outdoors, and certain exposure to walks, steps, paths, and roads that are uneven, frozen, and/or covered in snow. With these, and all related activities, there is a certain element of risk. By accepting this waiver, Guest hereby acknowledges that participation and use of facilities and grounds are at Guest’s own risk, and that Guest assumes all responsibilities for any and all aspects of participation by both Guest and any children who might accompany Guest. This waiver applies to any and all activities, named and unnamed herein, which are voluntarily participated in by guests and family members & visitors of guests at The Hotel.


    Indemnification & Punitive Damages:


    1. Guests shall indemnify, defend and save harmless The Hotel, its officers, agents and employees from and against any and all loss, cost (including attorneys’ fees), damage, expense and liability (including statutory liability and liability under workers’ compensation laws) in connection with claims, judgments, damages, penalties, fines, liabilities, losses, suits, administrative proceedings, arising out of any act or neglect by any guest, including a guest’s agents, employees, contractors, invitees, representatives, in, on or about The Hotel’s property. This indemnity shall survive the termination of this Agreement. Guests hereby release The Hotel from any and all liability or responsibility to any guest or anyone claiming through or under any guest by way of subrogation or otherwise for any loss or damage to equipment or property of The covered by any insurance then in force.

    2. The parties hereby agree that neither party shall be liable for any punitive damages.


    Right to Refuse Service:


    1. The Hotel reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who does not comply with these terms and conditions, behaves inappropriately, or poses a risk to the safety and well-being of other guests or staff members. The Hotel holds the ability to immediately terminate reservations without refund and impose a $250 fine, as well as any other damages, if these terms and conditions are violated. 


    Interference: 


    1. Guests shall use The Hotel facilities in a manner that shall not cause interference with the use or occupancy of the other guests in any way. Guest’s use hereunder will be done in such a manner so as not to interfere with or impose any additional expense upon The Hotel.


    Governing Law:


    1. These terms and conditions, as well as any agreement related to any reservation at The Hotel, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa. Any legal actions or demands shall be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction within the State of Iowa.


    Compliance with Laws, Hotel Rules, and Policies: 


    1. Guest agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and The Hotel’s Terms and policies governing the Agreement and event, including any rules, regulations or requests of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and any policies related to pandemic conditions.

    2. If any of The Hotel’s Terms are violated by guests or any members of guest’s party, penalties may apply in coordination with The management team, and the reservation may be subject to immediate cancelation.

    3. If any of the federal, state, and local laws are violated, the reservation will immediately be subject to cancellation without refund.

  • What time can we access our room ?

    Arrival time is 3:00. Occasionally we can accommodate an earlier arrival so please call

    us to check. No guarantees.

  • What time should we leave our room?

    Departure time is 11:00.

  • Does the hotel have a Wi-Fi network?

    The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms, as well as in the common areas. You willl receive

    the access code upon your arrival.

  • Is there an elevator in the hotel?

    The hotel is single story with no elevator.

  • Is there a workspace in the bedrooms ?

    All rooms have a desk and/or table.

  • Where can we park our car ?

    Directly at the hotel; we have our own parking lot.

  • Can we bring our pet?

    Pets are not allowed at the hotel.

  • Can I request an extra bed in a room?

    The Hotel does not offer an extra bed; the maximum number of occupants per room is

    specified in room descriptions.

  • Do you offer discounts for U.S. Active Military members?

    We offer an active-duty U.S. military discount. Please call us for details.

  • What are your cancellation conditions ?

    Before validating your booking, we encourage you to read the conditions that

    accompany each of our rates and offers; they have been formulated in detail and

    without ambiguity to help you make an informed choice. If you have any questions or

    doubts, please call us 641-505-STAY (7829).

  • Can I smoke in the establishment ?

    The hotel is strictly non-smoking, both inside and in the outdoor common areas. There is

    a designated smoking area at the south end of the building.

  • Is it possible to add a crib in the bedroom?

    At this time we do not offer cribs but you may bring a crib.

  • Do you have adjoining rooms ?

    We do have several adjoining rooms. Ask us for specifically reserving those rooms.

  • What credit cards do you accept at the hotel ?

    Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover.

  • Do you accept cash or personal checks?

    No. We are a cashless hotel and no personal checks.

  • What is the nearest airport?

    Des Moines International.

  • Do the rooms have a safe?

    The rooms do not have a safe.
